Film Still

Why not come and see David Cronenberg's film Maps to the Stars One of our many current highlights. With a cast including Julianne Moore, Mia Wasikowska, Robert Pattinson.

A star-studded tale exploring the demons of our celebrity-obsessed society: the story follows the Weiss family, which is led by Stafford, a psychotherapist and life coach who made his fortune with self-help books. His wife is the overbearing mother-manager of their 13-year-old son, a TV star recently out of drug rehab. Their estranged daughter has just been released from a psychiatric hospital and befriended a limo driver who is also an aspiring actor. One of Stafford's celebrity clients is Hava ... continued

‘The Dude Abides’ brings The Big Lebowski to life. Come in your favourite dressing gown, White Russians will be on sale at the bar an hour before the screening, stretch those bowling arms in preparation for our bowling competition and we’ll also be giving away a very special prize.

"That rug really tied the room together"

Hands in, aca-bitches - we"re gonna crush it with this one!

One of our favourite comedies of 2012 is getting the "Aca-Along" treatment! With a fully hosted pre-show, "Best Dressed Acapella Group" and "Riff Off" competitions as well as ON SCREEN LYRICS to help you along, this is one of the most fun nights out you can have at the PCC!

Be sure those voices warmed up & those harmonies rehearsed and please, keep the vomiting to a minimum.

That"s right folks, we"re bringing THE GOONIES back to the PCC and giving it the "Quote Along" treatment. We"ll be hosting a pre-movie "TRUFFLE-SHUFFLE OFFS" to see who can shake it the best & win a prize! And we may even have a little treasure hunt of our own after the film.... so get your tickets now for what is sure to be one hell of a night out at the PCC!

Leonard Maltin wasn"t alone when he noticed similarities between Goonies and the 1934 Our Gang comedy Mama"s Little Pirate. Adapted by Chris Columbus from a story by Steven Spielberg, the film follows a group of misfit kids (including such second-generation Hollywoodites as Josh Brolin and Sean Astin) as they search for buried treasure in a subterranean cavern. Here they cross the path of lady criminal Mama Fratelli (Anne Ramsey) and her outlaw brood. Fortunately, the kids manage to befriend Fratelli"s hideously deformed (but soft-hearted) son (John Matuszak), who comes to their rescue. The Spielberg influence is most pronounced in the film"s prologue and epilogue, when the viewer is advised that the film"s real villains are a group of "Evil Land Developers." The musical score makes excellent use of Max Steiner"s main theme from The Adventures of Don Juan, not to mention contributions by the likes of Richard Marx and Cyndi Lauper.
