To help things run smoother on the night of a marathon, please heed these words:
- NO ADMITTANCE after midnight. This is for safety reasons and to ensure that there are no chancers from outside the cinema creeping in.
- DO NOT USE SOCIAL MEDIA TO HIGHLIGHT ISSUES. Wether there"s a technical problem; you"re too hot/cold; or another customer is being disrespectful to you or those around you, PLEASE inform the ushers/management. The people who deal with social media will more than likely be at home, asleep, and your complaints will go unnoticed until its too late. This leads on to...
-NO PHONES It may be an all-night marathon, but we will be acting as though it"s a regular daytime screening. Phones are annoying, please turn them off and refrain from using them.
-THREE STRIKES. If our ushers have to speak to you three times, or customers complain about you three times, you will be ejected from the cinema with NO REFUNDS and NO SYMPATHY!
- NO E-CIGARETTES. Yes, we understand they are welcome in many venues around the city but sadly not this one. The vapours prove distracting to those around you, so we ask that you kindly take your E-Cigarette and "vape" in the bar area rather than the screen.
- NO HOT FOOD. Eating in an auditorium smells at the best of times but remember, you"ll be in that room with potentially 280 others for approx. 12 hours. That stench will remain. We"ll put your food somewhere in our staff room, but then you"ll have to eat it cold at 10am in the morning.
- NO ALCOHOL from outside is permitted. Any alcohol found will be confiscated, and we"ll also really dislike you for going against this. This risks our bar license, which means that we"d lose a LOT of money keeping the cinema you love in good health.
- RESPECT FELLOW CINEMA-GOERS. No chatting about Downton Abbey or Top Gear (or whatever it is you all watch, we only watch movies), and avoid being rude to anyone. Remember you"re all in this together. Being rude and aggressive toward people will not work well for anyone.
- RESPECT THE STAFF. They"re here for you, they"re here to do your bidding and clean up and serve throughout the night. Some of them don"t even get to watch the films on the shift. They need a lot of love too. They also love to receive chocolates.
- BREAKS will be dictated on the night. Between films there will be a 10 minute break, sometimes more sometimes less. Either way, your film will go on as planned. It"s enough time to have an breather/cigarette break and hit up the kiosk for snacks.
- STICK AROUND for the survival photo. We upload them during the following week, but be patient with that one!
- HAVE A GREAT TIME. This isn"t really a rule, though we do hope you love the films and the atmosphere and continue to support us in marathons and beyond!

E.T. THE EXTRA-TERRESTRIAL: After a gentle alien becomes stranded on Earth, the being is discovered and befriended by a young boy named Elliott (Henry Thomas). Bringing the extraterrestrial into his suburban California house, Elliott introduces E.T., as the alien is dubbed, to his brother and his little sister, Gertie (Drew Barrymore), and the children decide to keep its existence a secret. Soon, however, E.T. falls ill, resulting in government intervention and a dire situation for both Elliott and the alien.
THE THING: An American scientific expedition to the frozen wastes of the Antarctic is interrupted by a group of seemingly mad Norwegians pursuing and shooting a dog. The helicopter pursuing the dog crashes leaving no explanation for the chase. During the night, the dog mutates and attacks other dogs in the cage and members of the team that investigate. The team soon realises that an alien life-form with the ability to take over other bodies is on the loose and they don"t know who may already have been taken over.
POLTERGEIST: A young family are visited by ghosts in their home. At first the ghosts appear friendly, moving objects around the house to the amusement of everyone, then they turn nasty and start to terrorise the family before they "kidnap" the youngest daughter.
FIRST BLOOD: John Rambo is a disoriented Vietnam Vet. He is hitchhiking from town to town to see friends from the war. A sheriff tries to make him leave town and when he refuses, arrests him for vagrancy. While in jail, a deputy takes delight in abusing him. Rambo escapes showing his old Vietnam fighting skills and takes to the woods as the sheriff and deputies try and find him in his element. Things get out of hand as Colonel Trautman Rambo"s old commander appears to shed light on the situation.
BLADE RUNNER: THE FINAL CUT: Visually spectacular, intensely action-packed and powerfully prophetic since its debut, Blade Runner returns in Ridley Scott"s definitive Final Cut, including extended scenes and never-before-seen special effects. In a signature role as 21st-century detective Rick Deckard, Harrison Ford brings his masculine-yet-vulnerable presence to this stylish noir thriller. In a future of high-tech possibility soured by urban and social decay, Deckard hunts for fugitive, murderous replicants - and is drawn to a mystery woman whose secrets may undermine his soul. This incredible version features the definitive Final Cut of Ridley Scott"s legendary Sci-Fi classic.
