' The Can Film Festival has been created to encourage people to recycle for a brighter future. Drinks cans are great for the environment as they are both 100% and infinitely recyclable. One recycled can will also substantially reduce the carbon footprint of the next can produced.'

The Can Film Festival is coming to the UK to encourage people to recycle drinks cans.
Launching on 8th May at the Prince Charles Cinema in London,
the Can Film Festival will then move to Glasgow on 15th May and Manchester on 22nd May.

Film fanatics are invited to a special screening of Leonardo DiCaprio’s The 11th Hour, a film which explores the impact the population has on the earth’s ecosystem and the changes that must be made to guarantee the healthy future of our planet.

Admission into the screening is free of charge. For guaranteed entry, make sure you get there early and bring an empty drinks can to help us spread the word about the importance of the recycling. Complimentary beverages from drinks cans will be served.

BBC Radio One and London Tonight film critic and spokesperson for the festival, James King comments - "The great thing about the Can Film Festival is that it will bring people together and encourage them to recycle more. It will also highlight the fact that recycling cans is simple, and a great first step towards helping protect our environment"
